Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Patient Care Assistant, you will gain practical experience in patient care while collaborating with nurses and other healthcare professionals dedicated to making a positive difference.

Job Overview

Engage in direct, routine care activities for patients to enhance their comfort, support their functional abilities, and contribute to their comprehensive care plans.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience or training ranging from one to three months in a related field.
  • Ongoing education and specific training for Patient Care Assistants are preferred.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age due to the operation of certain equipment.

Certification and Licensure Requirements

  • Certification as a nursing assistant in the State of South Dakota is required.
  • If not currently certified, candidates must obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Training as a Medication Aide is preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Varied evening and night shifts; 48 hours over a two-week period.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is competitive, with actual rates determined by experience.

  • $24.00 per hour
