Job Overview

Pure Power Technologies Inc is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in maintaining and improving product quality in our automotive manufacturing plant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing quality control processes, analyzing product specifications, developing testing methods, and ensuring that all quality standards are met throughout the production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Control & Assurance
    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product conformity to specifications and standards.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action processes for product or process non-conformances.
    • Perform audits, including internal, external, and supplier quality audits, to maintain quality standards.
  2. Process Improvement
    • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defect rates, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
    • Apply Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and other quality improvement methodologies to optimize processes.
    • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement effective solutions.
  3. Testing & Inspection
    • Develop and execute testing methods, including statistical process control (SPC) and measurement systems analysis (MSA).
    • Monitor and analyze production data to ensure consistency and quality, using tools like FMEA, PPAP, and Control Plans.
    • Oversee inspections, both in-process and final, and ensure proper documentation of quality records.
  4. Supplier Quality Management
    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet company and industry quality standards.
    • Conduct supplier assessments, develop quality improvement plans, and monitor supplier performance.
  5. Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
    • Support preparation and documentation for quality audits and regulatory inspections.
  6. Reporting & Documentation
    • Maintain accurate records of quality reports, testing results, and corrective actions.
    • Prepare and present quality performance data, trends, and improvement plans to management.
    • Document and track progress on quality objectives and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
