Job Summary:

Vulnerability Assessment Analysts at Booz Allen Hamilton play a critical role in safeguarding the nation's security by executing offensive cyber operations. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in network, security, and vulnerability analysis to support the development of cutting-edge cloud-native 5G networks.

Your responsibilities will include probing targets using the latest network-based analysis tools, leveraging your technical expertise to select attack vectors, and matching attack vectors to tools, capabilities, and mission intent.

To succeed in this role, you will need 10 years of experience with network, security, and vulnerability analysis, as well as experience with specifications, protocols, deployments, security, and vulnerability assessments of 4G, LTE, and 5G systems.

Additionally, you will need knowledge of telecommunication protocols, architecture, and processes, including air interface protocols, and security architecture and design, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Virtual Private Networking, and virus and malware protection technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform information system security vulnerability scanning to discover and analyze vulnerabilities to support the characterization of risk to networks, operating systems, applications, databases, and other information system components

* Develop and execute penetration testing methodologies, including NIST SP, STRIDE, and MITRE ATT&CK

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize security vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies

* Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, and adapt security strategies accordingly

Requirements:

* 10 years of experience with network, security, and vulnerability analysis

* Experience with specifications, protocols, deployments, security, and vulnerability assessments of 4G, LTE, and 5G systems

* Knowledge of telecommunication protocols, architecture, and processes, including air interface protocols

* Knowledge of security architecture and design, including firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Virtual Private Networking, and virus and malware protection technologies

* Ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with programming and scripting in languages, including C, C++, Java, Python, Perl, or bash

* Experience with network security and vulnerability analysis tools, including Wireshark and tcpdump, Nmap, Nessus, OpenVAS, or Metasploit

* Experience with cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, virtualization, or software-defined networking

* Experience with Linux OS

* Experience with creating proof of concepts to demonstrate security weaknesses

Clearance:
