Position Overview

The Building People, LLC is seeking a dedicated Work Order Support Technician. This role is essential for managing incoming customer inquiries and utilizing established protocols for documenting the restoration, repair, and maintenance of office furnishings and equipment. The Work Order Support Technician will also handle incoming service requests, which encompass ticketing, delivery, repair actions, and inventory management.

As the initial point of contact for customers regarding product and service inquiries, we value candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and possess the ability to make prompt and precise decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the loading and unloading of incoming and outgoing materials and products.
  • Identify, label, and document materials, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Oversee help desk requests from initiation to resolution.
  • Provide restoration, repair, and cleaning services for office equipment as needed.
  • Document service requests and manage them through to resolution.
  • Close completed service tickets efficiently.
  • Track service call dispositions and provide weekly reports.
  • Collaborate with repair teams to meet client requirements.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Proficient in answering, recording, and tracking incoming phone calls.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities, both over the phone and in person, with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in furniture restoration and repair is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and forecast resource needs for service calls.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to senior management.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
