About Our Supported Employment Program:
- This initiative assists individuals in securing employment and developing the necessary skills for success.
- An employment support specialist will offer guidance and training to help individuals navigate job responsibilities and understand workplace policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individuals in their workplace to successfully complete tasks.
- Assist individuals in adapting to workplace culture and comprehending company policies.
- Provide hands-on training, observation, and assessment of the individual's job performance to facilitate improvement.
- Establish relationships with workplace supervisors to gather feedback on individual performance and foster an environment conducive to success.
- Utilize BuildAbility's digital platform to document the individual's progress and achievements.
Work Schedule:
- Part-time hours
- Afternoons, Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Assigned hours may vary weekly based on availability
Compensation Details:
- Starting pay between $18.00 and $21.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:
- Essential Qualifications:
- Positive attitude with the ability to provide encouraging feedback regularly.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to engage with individuals with disabilities, their families, employers, and others constructively.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must pass a DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting background check.
- Valid California Driver's License, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
- Willingness to travel: 75% - 100%.
- Proof of full vaccination or a request for accommodation based on medical conditions or deeply held religious beliefs.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities is advantageous. However, we provide on-the-job training for those without prior experience.
