Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team at the National Neurotrauma Society. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and carrying out research projects in collaboration with a research team, under the direction of Dr. Regina Armstrong. Key responsibilities include conducting experiments in mouse models to analyze cellular responses to acute injury and during neurodegeneration, collaborating on analysis of human postmortem brain tissues for translational correlation with experiments in mouse models, and contributing to behavioral and neuroimaging evaluation of injury and treatment effects in mouse models. The position also involves formulating experimental hypotheses, designing and executing experimental protocols, making scientific observations, maintaining detailed workbooks/documentation, and ensuring documentation fulfills generally accepted professional/industry standards. Analyzing and interpreting experimental data, including statistical analyses, is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Doctorate or equivalent degree in Neuroscience or a related field. A minimum of 0-5 years of relevant experience is required, with expertise in state-of-the-science techniques and neuroscience research experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical procedures are essential. Experience with diverse techniques for analysis of brain tissue specimens in animal models and/or human postmortem tissues, as well as specialized techniques for analysis of axon and neural circuit function, is beneficial. Knowledge of applicable complex scientific procedures and techniques is also required. Additionally, applicants should be able to work independently and supervise others, with strong organizational and time management skills.
