Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room at White Plains Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care and collaborate with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate medical and nursing regimens in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain a commitment to professional growth and development
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current New York registration
  • Baccalaureate in Nursing (BSN) required for all external RNs hired on or after January 1st, 2018
  • One year of acute care nursing experience preferred
  • Current BLS certification (through American Heart Association)
  • ACLS certification (through American Heart Association) required for all RNs, except for NICU and OR RNs
  • PALS certification (through American Heart Association) required for all RNs working in the PACU, 5I Pediatrics, Emergency Department, Armonk Urgent Care, and Ambulatory Surgery
  • NRP certification required for all RNs working in the Mother-Baby unit, Labor & Delivery, and NICU
Work Environment

The Operating Room at White Plains Hospital is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires strong communication and teamwork skills. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be exposed to various chemicals and must be able to move about freely, remain stationary for extended periods, and transport objects up to 50 pounds.
