About the Role

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our York Nebraska production location. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical and mechanical systems.

This is a unique opportunity to utilize your electrical skills and experience to make a real impact on our operations. You will be responsible for performing high-level electrical and mechanical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facilities, field, and plant equipment.

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will work closely with our team to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance plans, estimating labor and equipment costs, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with managing plant electrical systems, including regular inspections and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
  • Lead and foster a safety culture with team members, driving maintenance and reliability of the process control network.
  • Develop and communicate changes and improvements made to equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on both electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and extending equipment lifespan.
  • Estimate labor and equipment costs, maintain accurate maintenance inventory, and repair logs.
  • Maintain and work on various electrical equipment, including 12V to 480V systems.
  • Interpret electric code applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the overall success of our maintenance team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous electrical experience with voltages ranging from 24V to 480V 3-phase.
  • Ability to perform physical aspects of the job, including climbing, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • A valid US driver's license to operate company vehicles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and experience with control systems, electrical panels, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including some overtime, to support business needs.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • An electrical journeyman license.
  • Three years of related PLC Automation experience.
  • Previous HMI graphical interface programming experience.
  • Previous experience programming ladder logic.
