As a **Supervising Attorney**, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring a team of dedicated legal professionals. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the delivery of legal services and develop innovative advocacy strategies for vulnerable populations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of Senior Attorneys, Staff Attorneys, and support staff.
  • Ensure adherence to legal service standards and compliance with funding requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to navigate complex legal challenges.
  • Provide ongoing technical assistance and training to enhance the capabilities of the legal team.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain high standards of case management and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with leadership to foster a positive work environment and promote staff retention.
  • Offer constructive feedback and performance evaluations to team members.
  • Maintain and create essential documentation and resources for legal staff.
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation for program compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support the organization’s mission.

**Qualifications:**

  • Juris Doctorate or Master of Law (LLM) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Proficient in both English and Spanish, with strong written communication skills.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in immigration law, particularly in removal defense.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and promote collaboration in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
  • Experience with virtual communication platforms.
  • Reliable internet and transportation for travel as needed.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Texas.
  • Two or more years of experience in immigration law.
  • Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, particularly Central America.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a legal setting.
  • Background in non-profit legal services.
