Behavioral Safety Specialist

Job Summary:This role involves providing continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a working knowledge of computer systems, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide continuous observation of patients, utilizing remote surveillance technology to monitor their safety and well-being.
- Document patient observations and care in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Participate in identifying and reporting patient safety issues.
- Assist patients with daily activities, such as escorting them to the bathroom and supervising their transfers.
- Engage patients in diversionary activities to promote their comfort and well-being.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a patient care environment, preferably in medical, behavioral health, or clinical assistant roles.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients who may have altered mentation or situational awareness.
- Working knowledge of computer systems and software.
