Job Summary

Clean and maintain hotel rooms, including bathrooms, floors, walls, and furniture. Stock bathrooms with clean towels, toilet tissue, and facial tissue. Replace shower curtains as needed. Vacuum and carpet clean rooms, including closets and under furniture. Dust all surfaces, including furniture, lamps, and fixtures. Polish furniture and clean mirrors. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including carts and supplies. Clean lobby and other areas as requested by supervisors or managers. Make beds, change sheets daily, and change blankets and bed spreads as needed. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail in all areas of the hotel.

Requirements
  • High School/GED
  • Zero to six months of related experience
  • Ability to read MSDS sheets
  • Familiarity with good housekeeping procedures
  • Good public relations skills
  • Personable, trustworthy, dependable, and available
  • Ability to move furniture when needed
Work Environment

Employees will have some exposure to chemicals, household dust, and sweepers or carpet cleaner noise. Must be able to bend, stoop, operate vacuum cleaner, mop, and move hotel furniture from place to place. Must be able to reach to hang and clean shower curtains and windows. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
