Grant Veterinary Services, LLC is a newly established surgical and preventative care facility focused on High Quality High Volume Spays Neuters (HQHVSN). Our goal is to support the local community, rescues, and shelters by providing top-notch medical care through advanced practices, exceptional client education, and a committed veterinary team. We offer a range of services including wellness checks, soft tissue surgeries, dental care, and treatment for minor illnesses, and we are eager to welcome another enthusiastic individual to our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver exceptional medical services, dental care, and surgical procedures to public, shelter, and rescue animals within our surgical program.
- Engage with clients to offer services that meet their needs and those of their pets, fostering strong relationships and enhancing client education.
- Collaborate effectively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and client service representatives, both independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude as a team player.
- Provide care for 20-30 cats and dogs daily in spay/neuter and soft tissue surgeries.
- Administer injections, including pain relief, vaccinations, and other medications.
- Provide subcutaneous fluids as necessary.
- Monitor vital signs of sedated and anesthetized patients throughout pre-operative, operative, and post-operative phases.
- Carry out treatments, perform radiographic imaging, and deliver medical care as directed by the veterinarian.
- Ensure a safe and compassionate environment for animals, staff, and clients through low-stress handling techniques.
- Assist with patient examinations, gather medical histories, conduct diagnostic tests, and prepare medications for discharge.
- Operate and maintain anesthetic machines, pulse oximeters, scales, and other essential equipment.
- Support humane euthanasia processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to clean and disinfect animal areas, equipment, instruments, and the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience: Ideally 1+ years in HQHVSN or shelter settings preferred, but not mandatory
- Ability to lift and carry over 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the day with assistance
- Capability to work efficiently and calmly in challenging and emergency situations
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Capacity to stand for 8 or more hours
- Excellent skills in handling animals (cats, dogs)
- Outstanding customer service abilities
- Strong commitment to animal welfare and community service
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
