Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at SouthStar Urgent Care. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for and performing standard x-ray examinations, utilizing x-ray equipment and proper technique and positioning per provider orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiologic equipment safely and effectively, following prescribed safety standards.
  • Position patients and x-ray equipment to achieve desired diagnostic images.
  • Apply knowledge and experience with appropriate shielding protocols.
  • Prepare patients for examination, taking vital signs and history, and providing treatment as applicable.
  • Perform blood draws and administer medication injections and vaccines.
  • Prepare exam/treatment rooms, select, setup, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures.
  • Adjust radiation exposure on individual patient basis or to specification of examination.
  • Examine images for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
  • Send and store images.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.
  • Current state Radiologic Technologist licensure and BLS for Healthcare Providers required. ARRT certification required.
  • Prior Radiologic Technologist experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
