Position Summary

This role is designed for individuals seeking to enhance their expertise through active participation in advanced scientific research. The position involves engaging in data collection, developing new research methodologies, and disseminating findings through scientific publications. Responsibilities also include conducting complex biological and chemical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct thorough literature reviews to summarize findings and apply techniques developed through personal research or other studies. Present results at various scientific forums.
  • Assist in the planning and development of research protocols, ensuring compliance with established scientific standards and federal regulations.
  • Investigate the signaling pathways involved in neuronal communication using advanced techniques such as electrophysiology and imaging.
  • Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Oversee and mentor students and research personnel involved in laboratory activities, providing guidance on research techniques and methodologies.
  • Maintain and operate complex scientific equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

A Ph.D. degree from an accredited institution is required.
