Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
  • Perform advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs and diesel after treatment
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of complaints
  • Coach and mentor other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
  • All other certification as required by location
