Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to join our team at a correctional facility in Delano, California. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $135,000 to $149,000, with opportunities for quarterly bonuses and additional compensation.

About the Role

This Correctional Facility Psychologist will provide psychological services to mentally ill inmates, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Psychologist, Supervisor, and/or the chief of Mental Health.

  • Conduct initial mental health evaluations to assess inmate needs and develop treatment recommendations.
  • Meet with mentally ill inmates for crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, and face-to-face interviews.
  • Identify signs and symptoms of psychiatric disorders to comprehensively assess, diagnose, and manage presenting symptomatology.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institutions.
  • Valid Photo ID, Driver's License, or Passport.
  • Possession of current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • A valid California Psychologist license.
