Overview

Schneider is seeking a skilled Bulk Freight Hauler to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. As a member of our over-the-road tanker driving crew, you will have the opportunity to haul 75% non-hazardous freight in tanker trailers and enjoy regular home time every other week.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $63,000-$78,000 per year, based on average pay rates of $1,220-$1,490 weekly. In addition to mileage pay, you will also receive hourly pay while on duty, not driving. Performance-based bonuses are available, and experienced drivers may earn up to $0.03 more per mile by obtaining additional CDL certifications.

Job Description

As a Bulk Freight Hauler, your primary responsibility will be to safely transport bulk freight across the country. You will operate Schneider's top-notch equipment, including tractors, trailers, and tanker-specific vehicles. Our commitment to safety ensures that you will be prepared to deliver your cargo safely and efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Tanker and HazMat endorsements required at time of hire
  • TWIC card preferred, but not required
  • Lived within 50 miles of Indianapolis, IN or 150 miles of Chicago, IL
