We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to join our team at Moore Holding Company. As a key member of our Transportation Practice, you will be responsible for leading transportation design and construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and design plans, calculate, and prepare engineering documents for transportation projects, including details, equipment schedules, and cost estimates.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets for transportation design projects.
- Assist in building and promoting the Transportation Practice in the State of North Dakota.
- Oversee project schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Serve as a project engineer and designated client contact.
- Assist in construction bids or negotiations, including pre-bid conferences, interpretations, and post-bid evaluations.
- Monitor work-in-progress on team projects.
- Stamp or seal work prepared by you or under your direction.
- Participate in pre-project presentations, interviews, and promotions as requested by Group Leader.
- Monitor performance of personnel assigned to your projects.
- Establish and maintain cordial and professional working relations with clients and contractors.
- Attend client meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- PE registered in the State of ND.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Civil Engineering field.
- Extensive knowledge in the NDDOT or MnDOT design and project development process.
- Working knowledge of MicroStation and GEOPAK.
- Complete and thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering.
- Ability to prepare engineering records and write concise technical reports.
- Experience with the development of construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Ability to manage several projects.
- Self-motivated with initiative to promote.
- Valid driver's license and insurability.
