Overview

Heart Hospital of Austin is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a critical care specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for performing a range of technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics, assessing patients appropriately, interpreting results accurately, and suggesting alternative respiratory treatment. You will also be responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment, demonstrating competency in proper airway care, and communicating regularly with physicians and nurses about patient care plans and updates.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program, a Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), and a current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license. You will also need to have current certification as a Basic Life Support (BLS) provider and current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required for NICU RRT Staff. Additionally, you will need to have current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU RRT staff.
