Job Title: Open Insight Developer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide seasoned capabilities in systems analysis, programming, unit and application testing, and implementation for the shop floor system.
  • Interact with business analysts and client users to understand application specifications.
  • Write program specifications, code, and unit test programs.
  • Help implement systems and provide post-implementation support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
  • 5-7 years' experience in Visual Basic (or any of the Basic derivatives) - RBasic (a derivative of Basic) is the coding language for Open Insight.
  • 2-4 years Dot Net - Used to access serial decides (scales, micrometers).
  • JavaScript scripting experience.
  • Open Insight experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL - queries, stored procedures, indexes, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Highly proficient in a variety of programming languages including Progress 4GL, SQL, and Microsoft C#.
  • Extensive understanding of coding methods and best practices.
  • Flexible and adaptable in regard to learning and understanding new technologies.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Working Environment:

Highly proficient working with Windows OS 10 and higher. Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, Visio, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint.
