Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Physician to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a Gastroenterology Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical and specialty services for both outpatients and inpatients. Your expertise will be essential in performing standard GI procedures, such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, and providing specialty consultation for both inpatients and outpatients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standard GI procedures, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy
  • Provide specialty consultation for both inpatients and outpatients
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and assist in meeting established performance measures
  • Collaborate with other physicians to ensure proper education of medical students and residents
  • Maintain Continuing Medical Education (CME), State Medical License, and VA mandatory training
Requirements
  • Must have a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree
  • Must have a current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
  • Must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English
