MasTec Industrial is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for joining metal components using various welding processes, adhering to site safety requirements and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and welding symbols to perform tasks accurately.
- Perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW, and other mixed-type welds based on project needs.
- Field install welds, including structural, duct work, hoppers, bag house's, attachment points for Electricians, Ironworkers, and Pipefitters.
- Select proper fillers for welding tasks based on welding procedure specifications.
- Prepare welding surfaces per welding procedure to achieve proper joint detail.
- Assist pipe fitters with measurements, material preparation, and installation.
- Work with other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.
- 4+ years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School Diploma or GED Certification (preferred).
- Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with moderate exposure to unusual elements.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals.
