About the Role:
As a Professional Truck Operator, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough inspections of both the tractor and trailer before departing from the distribution center, ensuring compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Safely navigating routes to deliver goods, utilizing your knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
- Verifying loads against documentation at delivery points, ensuring accuracy in pallet counts and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Maintaining communication with your supervisor regarding delivery instructions and any mechanical issues or delays.
- Performing emergency roadside repairs as needed, such as changing light bulbs and fuses.
- Refueling vehicles and maintaining driver logs in accordance with D.O.T. regulations.
- Assisting with loading and unloading tasks or warehouse duties as required.
- Adhering to company attendance policies and safety procedures.
