Warehouse Technician Job Description

Astound Broadband Powered by Wave is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team in Longview, WA, and Wilsonville, OR. As a Warehouse Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining secure inventory storage and control, ensuring seamless operations, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, repair, and test converters and modems entering the department.
  • Receive new, repaired, and used converters from suppliers and field personnel.
  • Perform all burn-in procedures for each converter to ensure quality and readiness for issuance.
  • Maintain inventory in a secure place within the warehouse, adhering to inventory control procedures.
  • Distribute and document supplies and equipment upon issuance of authorized requests.
  • Perform receiving functions for all incoming inventory, comparing paperwork to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain inventory levels and order inventory and supplies as necessary.
  • Issue converters and modems to field personnel for installation and ship to suppliers for warranty work or repair.
  • Prepare converters and modems for customers by performing cosmetic repairs and cleaning as needed.
  • Maintain the warehouse and equipment repair area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Perform periodic physical inventory counts and maintain inventory reports.
  • Provide flexible support to field technicians based on the evolving needs of the business.
Requirements:
  • Ability to adhere to local, federal regulations, and company policies.
  • Ability to implement simple record-keeping procedures.
  • Ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ability to accurately measure distances using tapes or other measuring devices.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to demonstrate courtesy and patience in customer relations.
  • Knowledge of cable television products and services.
  • Ability to bend and lift materials up to 75 pounds from floor level to a height of 6 feet.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Ability to use hand tools, such as electric drills, hammers, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
  • Ability to work while standing 50-70% of the time.
  • Ability to work with small components and wires to make cable connections.
  • Ability to comply with all company-implemented safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use office equipment, such as computers, telephones, copiers, faxes, calculators, and staplers.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics and electronics.
  • Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record compliant with the company policy.

Compensation:
  • The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
  • The base salary range in Washington for this position, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits, and commission, if applicable, is:
  • Warehouse Technician I: $18.00 - $25.20 per hour.
  • Warehouse Technician II: $18.90 - $26.46 per hour.
