Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Concentra. As an Occupational Medicine Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine patients, compile medical data, and interpret diagnostic test results to provide accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans.
- Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examinations, to inform treatment decisions.
- Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal and provide clear explanations to patients and healthcare teams.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound care, to promote patient health and well-being.
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance strategies.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in the provision of continuity of care.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of policies affecting medical practice and quality of occupational health care.
- Assist in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs to promote patient understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients, clients, and peers while incorporating Concentra's values and principles.
- Ensure accuracy when completing and executing tasks and performing quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of care.
- Ensure accurate, concise, timely, and complete documentation of results and paperwork to support patient care and administrative needs.
- Provide an excellent, compassionate, and warm patient experience regardless of patient volume and workload.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize, and multitask in a busy environment to meet patient needs and deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs, such as scheduling and working additional/different hours/shifts, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Ability to consistently deliver quality care in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and expertise.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related health field from an accredited college or university.
- Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program).
- Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE).
- Current licensed physician assistant in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice.
- Must maintain work state physician assistant licensure throughout the course of employment.
- Customarily has at least one year of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or an emergency setting.
