Mainframe Engineer Job Description:

SysMind Tech is looking for a seasoned Mainframe Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain complex Mainframe systems, utilizing their expertise in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, MQ, Syncsort, and TSO/ISPF.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Mainframe applications, ensuring high-quality code and efficient system performance.
  • Analyze and debug system issues, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MS SQL and Changeman, and apply conceptual understanding of Mainframe processing.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Mainframe development and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools such as Intertest and Xpediter.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to work effectively under pressure.
