Job Overview
The University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure track position in sport pedagogy/physical education teacher education. As a key member of the Department of Kinesiology, you will contribute to the development of undergraduate and graduate-level courses in physical education teacher education.

About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished educator with expertise in sport pedagogy and physical education teacher education. Your primary responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, establishing a productive scholarly agenda, pursuing external funding, and meeting service needs within the department, college, and university.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct undergraduate and graduate physical education courses, including Sport Pedagogy, elementary or secondary methods, field experiences, assessment, and curriculum.
  • Direct graduate student research and advise on thesis/dissertation projects.
  • Participate in program and course development, as well as assessment and accreditation processes.

Required Qualifications:
* Earned doctorate in Physical Education Teacher Education or a related field.
* Experience with external, institutional, and programmatic assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated ability or potential to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Sport Pedagogy and Physical Education Teacher Education.
* Established research record with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
* School and/or college teaching experience.
