About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide support to program participants in a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment. As a Per Diem Direct Support Professional, you will promote the health, safety, and well-being of the people we support, while also serving as an advocate for their rights.
Responsibilities:- Provide support to program participants that meets their needs, promotes community integration, and creates a safe and healthy living environment.
- Assist participants with daily needs, including personal hygiene, food preparation, house cleaning, shopping, and monitoring of health needs.
- Transport participants to community outings and arrange for transportation as needed.
- Ensure participants are treated with dignity and respect at all times, promoting their ability to make decisions and exercise their rights.
- Interact with participants, provide informal counseling, and problem-solving as needed.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and participate in the development and implementation of Individual Instruction and Support Plans (IISPs).
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Washington State Driver's License, reliable vehicle, auto insurance, and willingness to transport clients.
- Must be located in and eligible/authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and have an active NAR/HCA/CNA certification.
- First Aid/CPR certification required (training can be provided).
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in all weather conditions.
- Be fully vaccinated from Covid-19 or have an approved exemption.
