Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal and state income/franchise tax filings.
  • Develop ASC740 Federal and State Quarterly Tax Provisions.
  • Maintain corporate tax controls effectively.
  • Review sales tax and personal property tax returns.
  • Conduct tax research projects for management review.
  • Assist with budget analysis and completion.
  • Research international tax issues and collaborate with international consultants.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and proficiency in computer applications.
  • Advise management on the implications of business activities on taxes and strategies for minimizing tax liabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with periodic tax payments, information reporting, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise external tax service providers.
  • Prepare and review technical tax memoranda.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor team members on projects, providing performance assessments through formal reviews and informal feedback.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in tax-related roles.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and financial software applications (OneSource – Income Tax, Provision, and Property Tax).
  • Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficient in interpreting complex documents and responding effectively to sensitive inquiries.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including advanced concepts and statistical analysis.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

Work Environment:

Office setting with the option to alternate between sitting and standing. Responsibilities include extensive keyboarding on a computer.
