Community Residences seeks a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide comprehensive care to our residents in residential facilities. This is a per diem opportunity for an experienced LPN to work with a dynamic team and make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.
About the JobThis position requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the health, safety, and well-being of our residents during their shift.
Key Responsibilities:- Reporting and Communication: Maintain open communication with the program Registered Nurse and Program Manager regarding any changes in client condition, new or changed medication orders, or medical issues.
- Client Care: Create a nurturing environment and develop strategies to help clients cope with daily living situations, facilitating independent performance and progress tracking.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications at prescribed times, document administration, and report errors according to policy.
- Dietary Plans and Meal Preparation: Follow written dietary plans and assist with meal preparation and purchasing supplies.
- Cleanliness and Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and perform housekeeping duties inside and outside the home, including laundry and trash removal.
- Confidentiality and Professionalism: Maintain clients' right to privacy and adhere to CRI's confidentiality policy, conducting oneself professionally when interacting with supervisors, coworkers, families, and community members.
- A valid CT driver's license and good driving record are required.
- One year experience working as an LPN or completion of CRI's LPN-in-training program is necessary.
- A high school diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited LPN program are required, along with a current CT LPN license that must be submitted annually.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, thoroughness, follow-through, motivation, and patience are essential qualities for this role.
The estimated salary range for this per diem position is $45-$55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include competitive pay, opportunities for professional growth, and the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of our residents.
