Job Overview

Air Tox Environmental is a leading provider of emission measurement services at power plants and other industries nationwide. We seek an Environmental Field Technician to join our team in Connecticut.

This role offers hands-on experience collecting data while spending most time outdoors in a hard hat environment rather than in a cubicle. As a key member of the stack testing team, this position is responsible for:

  • Project preparation: glassware cleaning, equipment maintenance, instrument calibration, and hardware fabrication.
  • Project deployment: travel, set-up on site, testing per prescribed methods, breakdown, and demobilization of equipment.
  • Data collection: recording test data ensuring information on datasheets is complete and accurate.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, transferable experience in laborer, construction, industrial maintenance, mechanical, laboratory, environmental, field science, etc., and physical ability to work in outdoor industrial settings.

Our company offers competitive compensation with a salary range of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, commensurate with accomplishments, performance, and credentials. Plus overtime compensation at 1.5x for hours worked over 40 in a week.
