Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at St. David's Georgetown Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP).
- Associate Degree.
- Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
St. David's Georgetown Hospital is a comprehensive healthcare facility located north of Austin, Texas.
