Supervisor of Outpatient Services

Position Overview:
The Outpatient Services Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Director of Perioperative Services to facilitate the effective management of the Outpatient Services and Pain Management departments.
This role requires the individual to foster strong working relationships with physicians' offices, medical staff, and the operational team. Acting as a vital link between these entities, the supervisor will ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with administrative duties to meet daily operational requirements and enhance patient flow for surgical procedures.
- Support the unit director in fulfilling staffing needs to ensure optimal unit functionality.
- Engage in bedside nursing activities as necessary to support staff in delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining a leadership presence.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience:
Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of four years of nursing experience, including a leadership role within the last four years. Candidates should demonstrate self-assertiveness, organizational skills, and the ability to provide guidance and support to team members.
Ability to follow directives from the unit director and assist with unit operations, including ensuring staff compliance with mandatory training and health requirements, is essential. Candidates must exhibit emotional maturity and the capacity to perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
Licenses and Certifications:
Must hold a current Alabama Registered Nurse license.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and moderate sedation are required.
Completion of departmental competencies is mandatory, with initial validation within ninety (90) days of employment and annual re-evaluation thereafter.
