Resident Care Assistant

At Rogerson Communities, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Assistant to join our team at the Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home in Norton, MA.

Job Summary

The Resident Care Assistant will provide direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting their overall well-being. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, toileting, bathing, and grooming
  • Aid residents with mobility challenges, including ambulation and transfer
  • Cue memory-impaired residents to support their recollection
  • Observe and report any changes or concerns to the charge nurse or senior manager
  • Respond to resident alarms and emergency situations
  • Participate in and support resident activity programs
Requirements
  • Current Massachusetts CNA license or HHA/PCA certificate
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
  • Able to pass a criminal background check
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
Working Conditions

The Resident Care Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment, standing and walking for most of the shift. The ability to lift and carry 20-30 pounds is required.
