Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in our Intensive Care Unit. The RN ICU will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care and interventions to address the problems of the neonate.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, and implement care and interventions to address the problems of the neonate
- Carry out physician orders
- Assist physician during examination, treatment, and procedures
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
- Instruct and educate patients and families
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient care environment for at-risk infants
- Orient and mentor new staff members
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- Current Texas State Licensure as a Registered Nurse (Compact license is accepted, but TX State RN license required within 30 days of hire)
- Current ACLS and BLS certification
- Must have at least 3 years of nursing experience
- CU experience of at least 2 years
- Recent acute care experience is a must
Salary Range: $34 (1 year of experience) - $54 (20 years of experience)
Night Shift Differential: $3.75/hr. Weekend Differential: $4.30/hr.
Sign on bonus: Case by case basis pending HR approval *not guaranteed* Relocation: Case by case
