Job Overview

Pillen Family Farms, a family-owned business in Nebraska, seeks a skilled individual to join their team as a Farm Hand. This role involves a variety of tasks and responsibilities, including operating farm machinery and assisting with services to local farms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate tractors, payloaders, road graders, skid steers, excavators, and other farm equipment.
  • Assist with center pivot irrigation systems and other farm services.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance on farm machinery.
  • Shred, spray, grade roads, and jet sewer lines as needed.
  • Process and spread compost.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • General electrical and mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to walk and lift at times.
  • 50+ hours per week with longer hours during pivot application season.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Compliance with bio-security, safety, and animal welfare policies.
