Westhab Inc. is seeking a skilled Housing Placement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for working with clients to identify permanent housing solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain relationships with landlords and management companies to secure housing options for clients.
- Collaborate with the Housing Placement Unit to ensure compliance with established housing laws and regulations.
- Work closely with Case Management staff to identify potential clients who are ready for housing placement.
- Resolve conflicts and crises related to landlord and management relationships.
- Develop and maintain a database of available housing options.
- Identify new housing opportunities for clients through ongoing networks and partnerships.
- Prepare and coordinate reports related to housing codes and compliance.
- Inform Case Management staff of unit readiness and any issues with client maintenance.
- Prepare housing packages and collaborate with Case Management staff on psycho-social applications.
- Work experience in negotiating lease agreements and providing housing for special needs populations.
- Knowledge of applicable state and city housing and disability laws and codes.
- Valid driver's license.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
