Information Systems Security Officer for Enterprise Infrastructure

Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our Cyber Mission business unit. This role is integral to one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. The ISSO will be responsible for overseeing the information assurance program for a designated program, organization, system, or enclave.
Key Responsibilities
As an ISSO, your duties will include:
- Proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
- Maintaining the operational security posture for information systems to ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures.
- Evaluating security solutions to confirm they meet the necessary requirements for processing classified information.
- Conducting vulnerability and risk assessment analyses to support certification and accreditation efforts.
- Preparing and reviewing essential documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP), Risk Assessment Reports, and Certification and Accreditation packages.
- Supporting security authorization activities in accordance with established Information System Certification and Accreditation Processes.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
Applicants must possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, including expertise in at least three of the following areas:
- Knowledge of current security tools and hardware/software security implementation.
- Familiarity with communication protocols and encryption techniques.
- Experience in supporting NISCAP and DIACAP processes.
Essential Skills:
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate:
- Experience as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
- Proficiency in planning and coordinating IT Security Programs and Policies.
- Knowledge of customer compliance and risk regulations.
- Experience in building System Security Plans (SSPs) and completing System Certification and Accreditation.
- Familiarity with customer infrastructure and the ability to work a flexible schedule.
