Dietary Cook/Housekeeper

At Sevita, we strive to provide individuals with the support and resources they need to live a full and independent life. As a Dietary Cook/Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in our mission by preparing nutritious meals and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients.

This is a per diem opportunity, working 10 hour shifts with overtime after the 8th hour. You will be responsible for reviewing work orders, preparing and cooking food, and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. Key Responsibilities:

• Review work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared
• Prepare, season, and cook food
• Inspect food storage and direct sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities
• Maintain and clean floor surfaces, furniture, draperies, and empty trash receptacles
• Follow universal precautions and procedures regarding cleaners, hazardous materials, and infection control

Requirements:

• Active food handlers certificate
• Valid CA Drivers License
• Six months of related experience in a Healthcare facility setting
• Acute attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships with patients, their family members, and coworkers
