Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our Student Support Services team at Midd-West School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and coordination of speech and language support for students with disabilities or physical/mental impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Speech and Language Programs
    • Design and implement individualized speech and language programs for students with disabilities or physical/mental impairments.
    • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure effective implementation of speech and language programs.
  • Evaluate and Assess Student Needs
    • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess student speech and language skills.
    • Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate student progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide Therapeutic Intervention
    • Provide targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation in the educational environment.
    • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement strategies to support student learning.
  • Document and Maintain Records
    • Document student progress and maintain accurate records of speech and language services.
    • Ensure compliance with school district policies and state and federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Certification/License
    • Pennsylvania certification is required.
    • ASHA certified or Certificate of Clinical Competency.
    • Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
    • Possess a valid State of Pennsylvania Hearing Impaired PK-12 teacher license.
  • Education
    • Masters degree in Speech/language Impaired.
  • Experience
    • Successful prior experience working as a Speech pathologist and/or Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, preferably in an educational or other pediatric practice setting.
Working Conditions

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a standard office and school building environment. The successful candidate must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
