Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in our Labor and Delivery department, you will be responsible for overseeing patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your key responsibilities include conducting detailed clinical assessments, prioritizing patient and family needs, creating and implementing care plans, and assessing patient responses. Building therapeutic connections with patients and families requires empathy, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments to identify health issues and create personalized care plans.
  • Prioritize patient and family needs, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Create, implement, and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures. Proficiency in medical terms, including health, disease prevention, management, common medications, and their side effects, is essential. Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights is also crucial. Exceptional communication skills and positive social skills are necessary for effective interactions with diverse parties. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email, are required.

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The location of this position is Marble Falls, Texas.
