Job Summary

This is a full-time night shift position with the Department of Veterans Affairs Michael J Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home. As a Registered Nurse, you will be an important and valuable member of our team, providing professional nursing services that require the application of basic nursing principles, practices, and techniques that follow established healthcare procedures and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing services to patients in a long-term care setting
  • Operate in a patient care environment where the focus is on the healthcare of individuals
  • Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Monitor and report patient progress to healthcare team members
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in nursing
Requirements
  • Must be licensed and able to work as a registered nurse in South Dakota
  • Associate degree, bachelor degree, or 3-year diploma in nursing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
