Job Title: Elementary Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher to join our team at Uncommon Schools North Star Academy. As an Elementary Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a love for learning in every student from the very start. You will engage in a culturally-responsive, fast-paced, and fun learning environment, building positive relationships with students and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach the basic principles of mathematics, reading, and writing to build students' literacy skills.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that prioritize meaningful texts and topics.
  • Meet weekly with your principal and/or instructional coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work samples and assessments.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
