Job Summary:

True North Home Care is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Certified Nurse Assistant to lead our team of care providers. As a CNA Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of care for our clients while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Training: Interview, hire, and train new care providers to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional care to our clients.
  • Orientation and Onboarding: Develop and implement a comprehensive orientation program to support new care providers in their transition to our team.
  • Skills Training: Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills of both CNAs and unlicensed care providers, focusing on ADLs, hoyer lift, sit/stand lift, catheter care, and other essential care tasks.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the CEO and Office Manager/Scheduler with administrative tasks, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Field Support: Provide support to care providers in the field as needed, ensuring our clients receive the highest level of care.
  • Challenge Mitigation: Develop strategies to mitigate industry-wide challenges, such as high employee turnover and unpredictable schedule changes.
  • Delegation and Communication: Perform other duties as delegated by the Office Manager or CEO, maintaining open and effective communication with all team members.
Requirements:
  • Certification and Education: Active CNA license; LPN license also acceptable. High school degree or GED required.
  • Communication and Computer Skills: Excellent communication, computer, and CNA skills.
  • Math and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong math skills and ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Patience and Professionalism: Ability to handle client and employee complaints and constructive criticisms with professionalism and patience.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional early morning and late evening shifts.
  • Transportation and Physical Demands: Current driver's license, active car insurance, and ability to lift 50 pounds, squat, bend, reach, stand, lift, and sit.
Working Conditions:
  • Office and Field Work: Work in our office at 11314 Elm Street and/or in the field as needed.
  • Hours and On-Call Rotation: Work 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, with a weekend on-call rotation.
  • Occasional Weeknight Work: May occasionally need to work a weeknight, with on-call supervisors responsible for finding coverage and covering shifts when required.
  • Overtime and Breaks: Overtime may be required, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break when working in the office.
  • Quiet Office Setting: Work in a quiet office setting with a private workspace.
  • Pet-Friendly Environment: Ability to work with pets, as many of our clients have pets.
  • Reliable Transportation: Ability to drive a reliable vehicle to various service areas, including Bellevue, North Omaha, West Omaha, Elkhorn, Bennington, and Gretna.
