About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Professor to join our team at Texas State University, McCoy College of Business. As an Assistant Professor of Instruction, you will have the opportunity to teach undergraduate and graduate marketing courses with a focus on Promotional Strategy and Principles of Marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Teach marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, with a preference for teaching Promotional Strategy, Principles of Marketing, and other relevant courses as needed.
  • Provide service to the profession, the department, McCoy College, the University, and the business community consistent with the College mission.
Requirements
  • A graduate or doctoral degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Mastery of marketing principles, concepts, and theories, with a strong understanding of marketing practices and strategies.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Evidence of sustained professional engagement in marketing or a related field through publications, presentations, or other scholarly activities is also desired.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, with experience teaching Promotional Strategy and/or Principles of Marketing is highly valued.
  • A graduate or doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited institution is preferred.
  • University-level teaching experience, particularly in marketing-related courses, is desirable.
  • Evidence of outstanding teaching accomplishments and experience teaching in marketing at the undergraduate level, such as documentation of teaching performance or ratings of instruction, is also beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The university offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and more.
