Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including cancer and related symptoms.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current health status, and treatment goals.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories, including physical exams and diagnostic tests.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing clear and concise medical information and fostering a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with coding and billing regulations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging, and perform procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation and provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, reviewing and analyzing clinical outcomes for continuous improvement, and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice, staying informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, and participating in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
- Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices, participating in ongoing medical education and training, and contributing to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Masters or Doctorate program.
- Board certification as a Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Oncology.
- Qualification to successfully obtain an unrestricted North Dakota practice license and DEA.
