Job Summary

As a key member of the Manhattan Beach USD team, the Lead Food Service Assistant - Operations and Promotions will oversee and participate in the daily operations and activities of assigned elementary school sites and kitchens. This role will provide work direction and guidance to assigned staff, ensuring the preparation and transportation of food to individual off-site kitchens.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and activities of assigned elementary school sites and kitchens
  • Provide work direction and guidance to assigned staff
  • Prepare and transport food to individual off-site kitchens
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with school administrators and staff to meet the nutritional needs of students
Requirements
  • Any combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities stated above
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Three years of experience preparing and serving food in large quantities
  • Valid California Class C driver's license
Selection Process

The selection process will consist of a training and experience evaluation, reference checks, written test, and/or performance test, and an oral interview. All qualified candidates will be notified of the selection process via email.
