Medical City Dallas is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Life Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pediatric care team, you will play a vital role in promoting the physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being of hospitalized children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advocate for the developmental needs of children and families, ensuring a family-centered approach to care.
  • Develop and implement interventions to reduce anxiety and trauma associated with illness and hospitalization.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to children and families.
  • Provide education and training to staff and the community on the developmental needs of hospitalized children and family-centered care.
Requirements:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Completion of a recognized Child Life internship with a minimum of 600 hours under the supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist.
  • Child Life Certification within 12 months of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
