As a Cognitive Health IMC unit, care is rendered to a variety of acute and intermediate care cognitive health patients, including those with alcohol withdrawal, drug overdose, behavioral health issues, and general medical patients requiring frequent monitoring.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cognitive Health Unit. The ideal candidate will have previous specialty experience and be focused on expanding their knowledge and skills. They will provide effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to complex patients, seek and provide feedback for improved clinical practice, and participate in unit-based shared governance activities.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process
- Coordinate care for assigned patients on a shift to promote clinical outcomes
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate appropriateness of care and smooth transitions across the continuum
- Lead unit-based shared governance activities and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support unit-based activities aimed at improving patient experience, employee engagement, and nurse-sensitive indicators
- Licensure to practice as an RN in Georgia
- Associate's Degree, ADN, or Diploma in Nursing
- At least 1 year of RN experience, with demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations
- BSN degree
- Previous experience in a specialty unit
