Position: Mechanical Systems Technician
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate, repair, and maintain boilers ranging from 12 to 50HP, ensuring all plumbing, valves, and related equipment are functioning correctly.
- Maintain detailed logs of blow downs, repairs, and inspections.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of seven water softeners, including ordering salt as necessary and keeping softness records for each unit.
- Manage heat reclaimers to ensure they are running efficiently, while documenting temperatures and maintenance activities.
- Run, repair, and maintain all hot and tempered water pumping systems, including plumbing and valves, while performing preventive and predictive maintenance and logging psi and repairs.
- Maintain shaker screens in conjunction with the sewer system to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate, repair, and maintain air compressors and dryers, tracking maintenance needs and scheduling services with contractors, while keeping accurate records.
- Oversee inventory management for all necessary parts related to the equipment listed above.
- Ensure all restroom facilities across multiple plants are in good working order, including sinks, urinals, toilets, partitions, fans, and lighting.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality in lunchroom areas, including sinks, garbage disposals, walls, doors, ceilings, and lighting.
Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Assistant Vice President of Operations.
Employment Type: Full-time position with a pay range of $20 to $30 per hour, commensurate with experience and expertise.
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available after 90 days of employment.
Tools: Candidates must possess their own hand tools.
